In a sad attempt to drum up some activity around South 12th, I now fling the door open for writing prompts from you, the readers. Fire away. What do you want to hear about? What do you want to know about? I am framing this as a “submit a writing prompt” exercise instead of an “ask me anything” exercise, because I am not eager to answer questions related to my troubled personal life, because my troubled personal life is actually not very interesting and my answers would just be evasive and flippant anyway, which wouldn’t make either of us look very good. Gosh, I am getting depressed just considering the prospect.
I am eager, however, to answer questions about various topics related to Minneapolis, art, culture, the Midwest, flags, cocktails, bicycles, sports, cooking, history, socialists, presidential candidates, buildings, boats, novels, records, mountains, clouds, oceans, office furniture, clothing, shoes, and feelings.
